“They’re my being, my babies. They’re my children,” McRae said of the four-legged fur balls housed in a reborn end barn on the 10 acres of attribute she shares with spouse Dennis. “It’s what the good Lord put me here to do is aver of animals. That’s what I do.”
The pole barn can domiciliate almost 60 cats comfortably, McRae said. She also has worked with horses, goats, llamas, birds, poultry pigs, rats, rabbits and others. Dogs who arrive at Protection Paws are fostered out with volunteers.
McRae is especially raddled to specific needs animals � those with infections, neurological disorders, leukaemia and another thoughtful medical issues � and does whatsoever it takes to rehabilitate them, including bottle-feeding new kittens around the quantify or carrying around animals that pauperism to be watched intimately.
